RESCUE Rescue is something none of us want to be faced with. These are the dogs that are found along the side of the road, maybe they are turned into the pound, or some are just turned in to a breed rescue. Most local shelters have a contact for the pure breed rescue groups, so when one arrives at the shelter they will contact the breed rescue. Sometimes the shelter has a number for a rescue volunteer in another state and not a local person to help. If this contact has no one in the area and can not get to the location to see this dog, a pure bred dog will not get the needed help from the rescue organization namely foster care and eventually into a good adopted home. We as reputable breeders and owners of pure bred dogs need to get involved where we can. Because of the active involvement I have had both in the field and placing a few dogs in good homes, I receive telephone calls asking for help - any help I can give. Sometimes it is the local SPCA or an owner that needs to surrender a beautiful GSP for one reason or another. Either way, I do what I can to help. This help has varying degrees - sometimes it is finding it a foster home until a adoption is possible and other times it maybe to train and care for it myself. Whatever the case is the main objective is to find a new and hopefully forever home for the dog. Here are some that have found me, one way or another.
