Buck went to Atlanta for heart worm treatment and soon after was placed.

HUNTER

One goes home and 30 minutes later I pick up Hunter.  He was 7 months old when he came to me.  He is house broke and listens pretty well.  Great with kids and other dogs, as he should be.  He is your typical GSP puppy. 

Here he is shown with his kids and family that will make his life complete.

A LUCKY DOG

Little Boy

He was surrendered to me on August 1st and went home on the 11th.

This beautiful boy six years old was very mellow and easy going.  He layed around the house or would play outside with the others all day.  He was great with the kids which the snuggling pic below shows.  He listened well and and caught one family that had lost a GSP and stole their heart.  He has a young boy to play with and a family that is going to treat him real good.

"SIG"

Sig was with me for about 2 1/2 months and after several phone calls and no returns a very nice couple called me on the last day of June and drove the following day to come and see her.  Jennifer and Ed had watched a friends GSP and had been researching other breeds when they made up their mind for a shorthair and decided on a rescue instead of a puppy.  Thanks to them Sig is going to be spoiled in a good home in Atlanta.  Jennifer now has a running partner to put the pressure on her and keep her going.  With all Sig's energy she may have Jennifer feeling like she is back in her marathon days.

She jumped into the crate in the back of their SUV sniffed the new surroundings, laid down looked at Ed as if to say "OK, LETS GO"

"BUBBA"

Bubba Louie as he is now called was surrendered to rescue mid-December. 

He has been adopted by a big and very loving family!!!  He's loving life!

CAPP

Turned in for rescue on September 3, 2006

Capp is 2yrs old.  He is a beautiful specimin of the the breed and very sweet to people and other dogs.  He does very well with kids and cats also.

When Capp arrived here he was severely malnurished.  In about 2 weeks we, or should I say Debora his foster mother put 12 pounds on capp bringing him to a good weight of 62 pounds.

A Male (Chance) and Female (Daisy) GSP were found in Dorchester SC.

THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED AND DOING WELL.

I ran into Chance at the vet no less with a small cut under his eye.  Other than that he looked GREAT and the new owners are loving them.  They are both doing very well.

Middle of August.

I have been contacted by several people since a local couple came to visit Chance and Daisy on the Last weekend in July.  I said then that they were interested in adopting.  We had to wait for both Chance and Daisy to have surgery and then for me to do a site visit.  Chance and Daisy both came through surgery and are recovering quite well.  Site visit went well and it looks like they might be going home this week if all continues as planned.

I was contacted and am trying to find a good home for them.  It looks like they might have been subject to some harsh methods of training.  The male has slits in both ears and the female has one ear slit, maybe from old school force fetch training or someone using it for identification purposes.  The first pics were posed after their bath then we went outside.

CHANCE	DAISY

August 2nd:

I took Daisy to the Vet Saturday for her checkup and besides coming home with Kennel cough (not as severe as Chance) and ear mites, she checked out good.  She is quite petite and weighed in at 37 pounds.  Chance had put on 7 lbs. since his coming to the house.  I would say she should put on about 5 lbs. for an ideal weight.  Both are coming out of their shell.  A couple interested in adopting came over this weekend to spend some time with them.  She wants to take both and he wants the female.  Lets keep out fingers crossed as I think they would make a great home for one or both of these GSPs.  Here are a couple new pics in the backyard the day they were reunited.

July 23rd:

Both are doing well.  I have been contacted by a couple about 30 minutes away that are wanting the female.  So I asked them to help name her.  I think Daisy is a fitting name watching her lay in the grass.  Chance is still with me and has about completely recovered from the Bronchial infection.  Vet checkup was great.  He is gaining weight and coming out of his shell slowly.  Daisy has lost a little more weight and should be out of heat and getting out this weekend.  Here is a new pic of Daisy and my daughter taken the other day during our visit.  Some of Chance are on the way.

Early Days:

They are very scared and have shown no signs of aggression.  They have been picked up and carried instead of tugged by a lead.  They need lots of love and attention.

Once outside for awhile they started to really loosen up.  The Female even rolled onto her back to let me scratch her belly.
